The Kit1 embodies the classic 300B single-ended, zero-feedback design with carefully considered enhancements. A robust mains transformer handles the high current demands of the amp, powering a 5U4G rectifier, two 5687 drivers, a 6SN7, and a pair of 300B tubes.

 

The 6SN7 operates as a pre-amp driver, adding a captivating depth to the sound, followed by a volume attenuator that maintains a stable input impedance. Next, a pair of 5687 driver tubes, running at unity gain, deliver a rich current supply that drives the audio signal into the 300Bs. The large output transformers complete the design, resulting in an utterly immersive single-ended 300B experience—one that invites you to lose yourself in the music, night after night.
